As a proud owner of sins and all the gal civ games I will say that their business model is a big incentive for me in buying their games.

Being able to download a game to any computer without worrying about serial numbers or cds is a pretty fantastic feature.

I can't say how many times I've ended up pirating a game I bought because I was missing some part of the rube goldberg copyright scheme.

(btw Chris, mind sending me an email? I have a question about your site)

I'm more than a little interested in Spore, but there's just no way I'm going to pay money for a big company like EA to spy on me. There are too many other enjoyable games out there that don't suffer from the same problem. Here's hoping EA's profits on that game are way less than expected.

"There isn't a liberal bias in the news media." There, I said it.

Pointing out two instances of perceived "liberal bias" hardly counters the fact that the entire mainstream media is owned by the same corporations that pay the lobbyists who own Congress. And those corporations want four more years of lawless, unregulated Republican rule.

While Obama will certainly be "just another politician" (see his votes on FISA), but I suspect that he'll at least observe the Rule of Law, which will be an improvement over Bush and McCain (who I believe is managed by the same neocon insiders).

I don't expect Obama to walk on water, but I do expect that he'll end the politicization of the Justice Department, end signing statements, and reverse some of the ridiculous tax breaks on the top 1% and big corporations. That's a start.

Why do all the commie republicans ;) use US magazine as a hallmark of news reporting? I mean cmon. It's a freaking rag. At least use something that tries to be a NEWSPAPER not an entertainment rag.

Umm... Tobacco Grove is maybe a mile from my house, my friends have humidors there (we go ideally once a month), and if you go at the right time there's a card game for money there :)
