Just some random crap…

I think I’m going to rename this blog, “A Drop Game Blog”.

My poker for the weekend consisted of another bubble play in an SNG after being chipleader for a while. I thought, “A ha! A history for Nerd!” But no, I waited too long and he got too busy. I totally understand though and no hard feelings. Damnit though :)

Happy Birthday Heather!!! (Yes, I know most of you will see this a day late but I was gone all day.) April, make sure she has fun this week.

Author Scott Sigler started his new “podiobook” on Sunday and it’s off to a promising start. His previous two podiobooks (audio books serialized like a podcast) were, as the kids say, HAWESOME. You can still get “Ancestor”, although the first one (and the better one IMHO), “EarthCore”, is now a paid Podcast ($10 for the whole book). Yes, this sounds like a shill, but the books are good in a “be entertained but don’t have to think much on the commute into work” way, which for me is great. Also check out podiobooks.com for more free audiobooks in podcast format.

Second round draft pick for Duante Culpepper? Wow.

Hard diet week. I was down at the corporate headquarters on Tuesday for a meeting and they brought in 7 large pizzas for like 10 people. It was great, a local joint, one of those that the locals rave about. I ate way too much :(

Forza Ferrari!! Schumacher takes second and looked, well I hate to say it but…HAWESOME. A little mix up in qualifying (despite getting pole) and he probably would have won it. Great race by Kimi (22nd to 3rd? WTF?) and 39 passes. It was the most overtaking in a non-rain or non-safety car race since 1996 or so. The V8s sure have changed things. Looks to be a great season.

    Dolphins = Contenders!

    I had mixed feelings about the Dolphins doing this at first but then I realized Dante will be by far the best QB they’ve had since Marino. Looking forward to the next season.

    I wondering if the sit and go experience has ever helped you ina real world sit and go ( like for a satelite entry to a tourney??) I wanted to play in one at the local casio to win entry to a large tournament.

  4. Chris Halverson Says:

    Honestly, I”ve never played in a real life tourney, so I can’t say it’s helped or hurt. Sorry.
