I don't declaw my cats (a la April) but to each his own! Just last week, when my boyfriend Randy moved in here, he brought his declawed cat to add to my family of 3 cats with claws. We've had no problems so far. My sister in law also has 2 cats with claws and one without, and they've been fine for years. Unless you have particularly violent cats, it's not really a big deal to mix and match the clawed with the clawless.

April: I do kind of realize what declawing does, however I have another cat, a dog and a house full of furniture. We've always declawed our cats and while it's a tough couple of days, they seem to get over it just fine. They're exclusively indoor so they don't need them and if the cats get to fighting for "who's boss", I want them both on even ground.

Easycure: Yes, Phil Gordon is funny in the video. Good stuff.

Yeah, another cat that may have been put down is now in a happy home. We didn't even look at kittens, we wanted one that was a bit older. This one is a bit younger than I thought we'd get, but she's great.

Just what you need, more car drama.

Is Phil Gordon always kind of funny?

On cats: I have two declawed cats. While it was very difficult to do (especially the first time), since they are both exclusively indoor, I highly endorse it.

The most important thing is that you saved the life of another unwanted animal. Kudos.

And April: You are such a kind heart....it's wonderful. Don't change a thing! ;)

I realize this won't change your mind (and that's okay) but declawing a cat is the equivalent of cutting a human finger off at the first joint. Sorry to be a downer but most people just don't realize how traumatic a surgery it is. I do understand (sort of) the motivation behind it though.

Have fun on your week off and I'll put in a good word for you with the poker gods about getting the luck to turn in your favor.
