Before my first trip report, which should be coming tonight, I’d like to say “thanks”.
Thanks to CJ for working hard on getting the tournament setup. Yeah, the blind structure was awfully fast, but hey, such is life. The important thing was being able to play together and have a good time.
Thanks to Iggy for the bottle of Oban Scotch. I can’t wait to crack it. I should have swung by my room the other night and picked it up so you could have a taste (I think the SoCo clouded my memory about it). I think if you had tried it we may have weaned you off of beer.
Thanks to April (Texas) for the cards signed by the Gourds. They’re awesome! Notice that the three kings are used. Very cool!
You’ll notice something in common between the two. Thanks to The Fat Guy, Scott, gave me one of his “Tres Hermanos” cigars that he raved about. I haven’t had a chance to smoke it yet, but when I do it will be on my deck, with a glass of Oban (neat, that’s without ice, water or anything to you “I’ve got to mix my drinks with sugary substances” type of people), while playing online poker.
Thanks also to all the bloggers, readers, spouses, etc. who showed up. I know I didn’t get a chance to talk to all of you, but those of you who I did were great. I, and maybe more importantly, my wife, enjoyed every bit of the trip.
