My latest preparations for Vegas:
- Got a haircut (see below)
- Watched a couple episodes of CSI

Note the shiny new hair cut and lame attempt to hide chin #2 (these self taken pics never look quite right). Oh, that was taken with my new digital camera that I got just in time for the trip (Canon SD400).
Anyway, that’s what I look like. That may help a bit to those of you who are going. For a couple more, including Drizz and Chad, see the couple pics from the ACHE Minneapolis Tour - Winter 2005.
So I’m sitting on the deck enjoying the day off. It’s 80 and sunny here today. Beautiful. I’m checked out already. Wednesday I go to the bank and get my “roll”. I’ll be under rolled compared to what Pauly says is the right amount, but I’m bringing all I’m comfortable losing.
Anyway…I did a little housework, nothing like cleaning the siding and grill for fun, did my homework, and basically sat on the deck enjoying the outside.
8:00AM CDT Thursday can’t get here quickly enough. That flight is fine, albeit a bit early to get across town, but the real killer? The 10AM flight home on Sunday. Oh man, that one will suck. Badly.

I look at those pictures from January, and boy do I look hungover/already drunk. That’s exactly what I’ll look like in Vegas, I’m sure.
Rock on CDH. See you and your professional poker playing skills on Thursday.
My ski pole arms are at least covered by my Vikes jersey. I still don’t understand how I can hit a softball 400 feet.
I’m getting in around 6-7 at the Plaza, will have wifey’s cell phone on once I hit the ground. See ya then Chris
I just bought the SD200 this weekend
I have a Canon Rebel DSLR and an Olympus 5050 but those seem way too bulky to take to an event like this. So I needed something slim with decent picture quality. I thought about the SD400 but . . . wasn’t sure it was worth it to me considering that if I was going for higher quality pics I should be using a different camera.
I’m wheels up around 7pm tonight. Give me a ring when you get into town.
At least he didnt call you the Bernie Lootz of poker.
I’ll say hello if I see you around the Luxor.
Good luck.
That would be your accomplice in the wood chipper, ya?
