PlayerView No Longer Free

Looks like they’ve finally started charging for PlayerView. $50 and it’s yours. This is only $5 less than the cost of PokerTracker itself. Ouch. There’s been talk about this for a long time, but I guess now is the time. Evidently the more recent betas phone home which means it’s easy to shut down. The web page says that they will be deactivated shortly.

I’m glad I have only ever used GameTime+, now I do’t have to switch or anything.

    I’ve always used GameTime+ too. There was too much to configure in PlayerView, plus you gotta love the UB Hand History importer that was built into the latest version of GT.

    I try using Gametime + but for some reason PT doesn’t auto-update on Party skins properly so its pretty useless for me.

    Fifty bucks?? Wow. It’s not THAT good. Twenty, maybe. I prefer GT+ anyway, except that PV tends to use less system resources, so I’d use PV when I had a bunch of tables up. Back to GT+ it is! Thanks for the heads up!
