Vegas is Booked

After confirming with both CJ and Mrs. H on the first day the WPBT Vegas II event was announced, I finally booked the actual trip.

Mrs. H and I will be wheels up on Champion Air at 8:30AM on Thursday, June 2. We will also be residing at the luxurious Plaza (at least Pauly told me it was luxurious ;-) ). All I know is that the Plaza better have a good stock of brown liquor.

So now I have a question: We’re looking to go to a show either Thursday or Friday night. Probably Cirque du Soleil. Any thoughts on the different shows? I see they have 4 out there now: O, Mystere, Ka and Zumanity. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Yes, I know it’ll be $100+ per person and yes I know Zumanity is “adults only” (which is totally fine if the show is good).

Two months. Plenty of time to get my bankroll in order (hopefully) and to get my liver in shape.

ALL of the cirque shows are fantastic, you won’t be dissappointed with any of them. Just go with what looks the most appealling to you, it’s one of the few decisions where you really can’t go wrong.

I’ve only seen “O”, but it was really cool. Like HH said, I’m sure you won’t go wrong with any of them.

Saw Penn and Teller at the Rio in August and it was definitely not worth the $80. In fact I wouldn’t even go again for free.

Saw Mystere with Mrs Div last year. We both loved it. Get in early, as there’s some interactive pre-show fun too.

Ka and O are both freakin’ amazing. If you’re new to Cirque, go to O.

Seen O and Zu. Prefer O.

I’ll be at Luxor in Vegas 6/1 - 6/4. Where’s info about WBPT?

Having seen them all (as well as a half dozen other Cirque shows), i would recommend Mystere as it is the most impressive, closely followed by O, Ka, and Zumanity. As everyone else has said, you can’t really go wrong with any of the shows.

Blue Man Group is worthy of consideration also. It is lots of fun.

I’m getting in on the 2nd, as well, and am considereing a show that evening - BadBlood also mentioned seeing a show, too - but don’t know when he and the Mrs. arrive - Cirque is one of my first choices - would y’all consider hooking up? There may be some internet deals for tickets or through ‘Worry Free’… Let me know..

Next visit to Vegas I’m going to see another Cirque show. Mystere rocked hard.

Definitely Mystere. I feel strongly about this. I’ve only seen Mystere, but heard bad things about the others…

I’m also a huge fan of Mystere. It’s really an amazing performance.

And get tickets early over the net. I couldn’t believe the line they had for tickets when we got there.
