Correction
Wow, do I feel stupid. In the interest of my integrity, I must confess a mistake and set the record straight. In my posting regarding my first year as a poker player, I said:
While I have run the bankroll up into five figures, I keep it in the game in hopes of moving up levels.
This is wrong. The correct version should read (emphasis mine):
While I have run the bankroll up into four figures, I keep it in the game in hopes of moving up levels.
Original posting has been corrected. Thanks
I also neglected to mention
Poker
With the exception of a drunken night playing 50/1 a couple weeks ago, I seem to have terrible luck playing with other bloggers. Tuesday night I sat at a Crypto 1/2 table to clear the William Hill monthly bonus and I see a familiar name, or at least I thought it was. Yep, I get an IM later from
I played in a Stars SNG tonight to get a feel for the tourney structure and such in preparation for Thursday’s Iggy tourney. The good news is that I got second, which was pretty good. I was short stacked most of the time (gee, that’s a shock), but fought my way back and busted two people along the way. Heads up (I was outchipped 2:1) my AK lost to K9. Well, that’s poker.
See ya Thursday night!
Even so, it’s still a respectable accomplishment!
Hehe, ya, thanks. I just figured since I made a big deal about my trials and tribulations that I should make the correction.
Thanks.
or win yourself into the 5 figures really fast and pretend it was never any different!
4 figures is still impressive - I’ve yet to see it - lol. Keep up the good work, Mr. H!
See ya tonight Chris! If I last that long. Damn NL! Winning Poker on Empire/Party is an accomplishment in itself! Keep up the good work.
I was a little nervous about having you back in our game when I read that 5 figure comment. You a hustler, Halverson?
Drac: Haha, ya, I decided to snow job you guys by having the most rebuys across a two tourney setting. I’m just setting it up for the 30th when I’m going to take Al’s car as payment at the end of the game. I’ll sell it and then have my 5 figures
Yeah, when I read that “5 figure” bit, I thought, “Man, Halverson’s got crazy expectations.” I also thought, “Man, Halverson must have a HUGE hand history.”
But four figures is still way more than what I’ve made. Call me tilty and slap me silly.
Hey, people, I’m dead money anyway, but if we can get another 18 signups for the Pokerstars tourney, more people get paid! Sign up now.
